Im A Celebrity's Brian Conley has insisted he's not worried about bugs and rats, claiming to have overcome his fears for the show!
TV entertainer Brian has made sure he is fully prepared for life in the jungle - by overcoming his dislike of rats and allowing eight to run all over him.
Whilst his dislike of rodents has never got to a point where he has been frozen with fear, 51-year-old Brian - who first shot to fame in the 1980s and went on to become one of the country's most popular TV personalities starring in dozens of hit shows including Live from Her Majesty's and The Brian Conley Show - admits they are the one animal he dreaded facing the most and it's the reason why he decided to go on a special trip to a Newcastle rat farm as soon as he found out he was going to the jungle.
"I am pretty good when it comes to phobias but I don't like rats," explains Brian.
"That's because I have never met rats and so when I got accepted to go on the show, I made a point of visiting a farm that has rats in Newcastle. I have watched every series and I know in the past, celebrities have had to get inside plastic coffins with rats running over them. I knew that if I wanted to get any sleep, I had better get used to them!
"At the farm, I got to know eight rats and I even had them running over me! I am absolutely fine with rats now."
