I'm A Celebrity 2012: Eric Bristow isn't scared of the Bushtucker Trials

I'm A Celebrity 2012 - Eric Bristow

Darts ace Eric Bristow has claimed that he won't be daunted by the terrifying Bushtucker Trials on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The five-time world champion says he doesn't have any phobias or fears, and can't wait to try out new adventures in the Australian jungle.

He's not even fazed by the idea of having to eat animal testicles!

"I am not fearful and I am not dreading anything either," said the 55-year-old. "I don’t tend to get hungry and so I think the lack of food will be alright.

"If I have to jump out of a plane, then it has got to be done. I want to be able to look in the mirror afterwards and be able to say to myself that I didn’t bottle it and I gave it a try."

But although Eric plans to give the challenges his all, he says he'll be sympathetic if his fellow campers don't do so well.

" Of course we will all try and get food but if we don’t, then it does not matter," he added. "People are trying their best and that’s all they can do."

The contestants will reportedly face a Trial on their first day, competing against each other in teams of five to avoid being stranded overnight on an island.

I'm A Celebrity 2012 kicks off on Sunday at 9.00pm on ITV1.
