Selasi Gbormittah says he "dropped the ball" on the Great British Bake Off 2016 last night.
It was the semi-final of the final BBC series yesterday and it was Selasi who left the Great British Bake Off lastnight, falling at the final hurdle.
Judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry picked the top three bakers and Selasi missed out as Andrew Smyth, Jane Beedle and Candice Brown made it into next week's final.
He said last night: "I was almost at the last hurdle, and then I dropped the ball. I can’t blame anyone else but myself, I was sorry to be going but also accepted it at the same time."
Reacting to his title as "Mr Cool", Selasi continued: "I have read that I am known as Mr Cool, or the chuckling Zen banker, that does make me smile. I am very laid back and that can be scary sometimes because I am so chilled.
"I feel you don’t need to panic, I look at things in the best way possible and being an optimist think that’s the best way to get through life."
Selasi also spoke about his closeness to fellow baker Benjamina Ebuehi, with fan dubbing the pair "Benjalasi".
"Benjalasi was hilarious particularly as we have such a good sister/brother relationship," he said. "We had such a great bonding in the tent, and she laughed at my jokes.
"For me it was more about a bunch of people baking in the tent and having a great time, not a competition."
Unfortunately for Selasi, the semi-final is now done and dusted and it's onto the final.
One of Andrew Smyth, Jane Beedle and Candice Brown will be crowned the Great British Bake Off 2016 winner next week.
The Great British Bake Off 2016 final airs Wednesday at 8PM on BBC One.
