Despite the pair both posting personal bests, it wasn't enough to keep them out of the bottom two, the fourth time that Olympic skier Chemmy had been in the skate off.
After both Chico and Chemmy performed their prop based routine again, it was down to the hard to please ice panel to choose who would be going home.
Louie said: "You both gave great skate offs but I'm saving Chico."
Katarina said: "That was so close tonight, but there was one performance that was magic to me, so I'm saving Chemmy."
Left with the deciding vote, head judge Robin said: "You both gave great performances. Chemmy, you came out stronger, but so did Chico. For me, the person who had that extra spark, and the person that I'm saving is Chico."
As a result, Chemmy became the latest star to leave Dancing On Ice.
Despite her exit, Chemmy was over the moon with her performance, saying: "It was a magic, I loved it. I'm the queen of the skate off and I didn't even get nervous, I loved it. I done it better."
Dancing On Ice 2012 continues next week with its semi-final.
