Axed Dancing On Ice star Andy Whyment has said he's glad he was booted off the show last night, saying he's been missing his wife and children.
The Corrie star became the latest victim of the skate off last night, losing out to Chemmy Aloctt after the performance show.
Speaking on This Morning however, Andy wasn't complaining.
"I knew as soon as I was in the skate off that I was going to go home," he explained. "I was always at the bottom of the leader board."
And yesterday was no different, with the soap actor again bottom despite a personal best of 20.5 points.
Head judge Robin Cousins said Andy's skate last night, which was performed to Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley, was a "fantastic" way for him to go out.
Andy admitted today that he was happy to have been eliminated, explaining how he's had less and less time with his family since the show began back in January.
"Last week I was only home for a day and a half and I’ve got two young children," he said. "My wife [Nicola] has been fantastic.
"I’m just made up that I’m out now and can spend a bit of time with them."
He added: "I was never going to win it, I’m just glad I’m out now so I can have a couple of weeks off before we start rehearsals for the tour."
Dancing On Ice 2012 continues next Sunday on ITV1.
