Gemma Collins says Jason Gardiner’s Dancing On Ice exit is ‘karma’ for their feud

Gemma Collins has been delighting in Jason Gardiner’s Dancing On Ice departure again, suggesting it’s “karma” for their infamous feud.

Jason recently announced he has quit the ITV skating contest, with John Barrowman subsequently taking his place.

However, the acid-tongued Aussie may have jumped before he was pushed. Reports claimed bosses were on the verge of axing him, fearing celebs would object to his controversial comments in the wake of the duty of care scandal.

One celeb who felt the full force of those remarks was former The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins.

The duo famously clashed on this year’s series, with Jason blasting Gemma’s skating abilities, while she accused him of selling stories (claims which he denied).

Gemma has made no secret of her glee about Jason’s exit, and today she’s been speaking her mind once again.

“There’s having a laugh and there’s taking it too far,” The GC told The Mirror.

“Karma is a beautiful thing, and John Barrowman is now filling his boots. So see you later, honey! Next!”

Referring to one moment when he compared her to a “refrigerator”, she added: “Boring. There’s criticism, and there’s calling someone a fridge. He was referring to my body size.”

Meanwhile, it seems Gemma’s time on Dancing On Ice may not quite be over yet.

The self-styled reality TV diva hinted she has been invited back for a Christmas special – although she admits she’d rather return as a judge.

“Me and John Barrowman get on famously so you never know, they might have a mad moment,” she laughed.

ITV chiefs have yet to confirm whether there will be an extra helping of Dancing On Ice over the festive season.

Producers have however been busy this week confirming celebrity contestants for the next full series.

Famous faces taking to the ice in 2020 include breakfast TV queen Trisha Goddard, Love Island’s Maura Higgins and H from Steps.
