Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

There will be FREE voting on Dancing On Ice 2018 for the very first time this year.

The series will be following in the footsteps of fellow ITV shows The X Factor, I'm A Celebrity and Britain's Got Talent in offering free voting via a new and updated mobile app.

The new app has a refreshed look and feel, and as well as voting will provide full coverage throughout the series offering fans up to the minute breaking news, video exclusives and previews.

For the very first time in DOI first, when the show returns tonight you can vote to save your favourite celebrity for free.

As for the Dancing On Ice free voting, it works much the same way as in the X Factor, BGT, I'm A Celebrity and Love Island apps. You first need to register with your Apple or Google ID in the app and you will then get five free votes per 'voting window'.

You can put all the votes on the one celebrity or split them across multiple stars.

Voting will also still be available through landlines and also on mobile via shortcodes, but both at a cost as shown on screen.

Dancing On Ice begins is back this Sunday night on ITV from 6PM for the second live show.

The remaining six contestants will kick off tonight's opening live show, each dancing a debut routine together with their professional partners.

At the end of each routine the judges - Torvill, Dean, Jason Gardiner and Ashley Banjo - will give their marks and comments before viewers can vote for their favourite.

The judges scores will then be combined with the viewer's votes, the bottom couple will be revealed.

They'll face the first skate off of the series this evening against Candice Brown, who was bottom of last week's opening show.
