It may just be coming into the summer but talk of what's going to be happening on Dancing On Ice next January has already started. According to The Sun today the eighth series of the ice skating show, set for early next year, will feature a 360° ice rink.
The paper says: "ITV bosses want to create the feel of an ice-dance contest where the audience encircles the rink. They could not do this at Shepperton [Studios], where the last series was filmed, so are going back to Elstree in Hertfordshire."
A source told the newspaper: "Dancing On Ice 2012 will see changes as producers want to build on last year's revitalised format and interest.
"One of these is introducing 360° seating and sadly Shepperton does not have the facility to do it."
Elstree Studios is home to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and most famously the Big Brother house.
