Dancing On Ice champion Sam Attwater has praised his fellow contestant Johnson Beharry, calling the war hero an "inspiration". TellyMix revealed yesterday how the Iraqi war vet had topped the public poll for most weeks of the competition, unfortunately for him only slipping in the semi-final weekend.
Talking to The Sun about Johnson, Sam said: "[He] is an inspiration and an absolute gent. Johnson is the kindest person and his journey is unreal. If I was sat at home I'd have voted for him - that's why the show was so strong this year."
He added: "Everyone knew that Johnson was taking the public vote and everyone raised their game and pushed harder."
Johnson was awarded the Victoria Cross after twice saving the lives of his fellow soldiers in the frontline whilst serving in Iraq back in 2005.
