An average audience of nearly 9 million viewers tuned into last night's Dancing On Ice 2011 final, which was won by Eastenders actor Sam Attwater. Telly presenter Laura Hamilton finished runner up in last programme of the competition, which was broadcast from 7:40PM until 10PM last night.
8.78 million viewers - a 33.2% share of the telly audience - tuned into the programme, while a further 200,000 watched on time shift channel ITV1+1. The final peaked during the middle of the programme however, at 8:30PM with 9.35 million viewers. The figures represent a slight increase year-on-year for the show, with last year's final attracting an 8.8 million average audience.
Elsewhere, a new episode of Come Dine With Me scored 1.7 million for Channel 4 whilst Antiques Road show stood firm on BBC One with 5.67 million pairs of eyes watching.
