Eastenders actor Sam Attwater and his professional skating partner Brianne Delcourt have been crowned winners of Dancing On Ice 2011. Sam and Brianne scored 58 points out of 60 in their two judged performances tonight, as well as performing the Bolero to rave reviews from the panel.
Talking about the win, Sam said: "It feels amazing, I just want to say thank you to everyone here... I've had the time of my life and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Brianne."
In tonight's show Sam scored an impressive 29.5 points out of 30 in his showcase to Footloose, narrowing missing out on a perfect score. Judge Emma Bunton told the actor: "We are so lucky to have you on this show, you've been an amazing skater all the way through, but I've watched you become an amazing performer."
Sam's win was not too surprisingly, having led the way on the leader board and bookies odds right from the first week after scoring a very impressive 25 points after his debut performance on the ice.
Sam beat Laura Hamilton to the trophy, after the pair skated directly against one another by both taking on the Bolero. Gardiner said of Sam's performance: "You were incredibly captivating. I believed that you two were passionately involved, but most importantly you allowed time to breathe and execute everything so we could enjoy it with you."
Sam becomes the third male skater to win the show, since it started back in 2006.
