Sam Attwater's Dancing On Ice final hopes in doubt after nasty fall in training!

Eastenders actor Sam Attwater has found himself hoping for a speedy recover in time for Sunday's Dancing On Ice final after he fell during training. The 24-year-old suffered nasty injuries when attempting to practice a Dancing On Ice first by lifting two partners during the same move!

Sam said: "I was doing a lift with two girls in training and it just went wrong. The way I landed I tried to save both girls, but I sprained my ribs and one of the blades went across my knuckles. It is the biggest fall I have had and we were supposed to have three hours of training afterwards.

"But now it is hurting to do any lifts and that is supposed to my asset on the show."

Talking about the risky move - which Sam hopes to show off during his showcase performance on Sunday's final - Sam explained: "The two girls counter balance each other, but like an idiot I couldn’t do it and went down like a sack of spuds. I will be on painkillers now for the rest of the week and in the final, but you just have to push it through.

"I have also been told to eat properly to keep my strength up."

The favourite also revealed he has been trying to push his routines even further in a bid to be crowned Dancing On Ice 2011 champion this weekend. "It doesn’t get mentioned but I have wanted to push it each week with different moves and lifts," Sam said. "Being top of the leaderboard is a great feeling so I can’t even imagine what it would be like to win.

"I might even cry."

Dancing On Ice concludes with the final this Sunday as Sam, Chloe Madeley and Laura Hamilton battle it out to be crowned 2011 champion.
