Critical Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner has claimed that Sam Attwater's performance on Sunday's show was "too reserved". Chatting about the routines from the weekend's show to The Sun, Jason also criticised the soap actor for blaming the prop after dropping his hat during the programme.
Sunday saw Sam slip to third on the leader board - behind both Laura and Chloe - seeing him in the bottom two for the first time in the series. Once the bookies favourite to win the current series, it was only the judges' vote which ensured Sam reached next weekend's semi-finals.
"[Sam] Seemed too reserved, there wasn't enough wooing for me," Jason said. "Then he dropped his hat and tried blaming the prop - he's much better than that. He proved my point that he can do it - he was flawless in the skate-off which saved him."
Meanwhile Jason named Chloe's routine as the "performance of the night", saying she delivered "a phenomenal performance" with her props - a skipping rope and hula hoop. "The way they exchanged props was flawless," Jason commented. "She has proved that she has got what it takes to win this competition. "
Finally, commenting on Jeff Brazier's performance, Jason criticised the telly presenter for being "too playful", explaining: "They were supposed to have domestic tension but it was too playful."
