Denise Welch has become the latest celebrity to be eliminated from the 2011 series of Dancing On Ice, voted off by the judging panel against Johnson Beharry in the skate off. Denise Welch and Johnson Beharry received the lowest combined public and judges votes after all the remaining celebrities took part in a special show which saw them competing in teams as well as on their own
After the pair skated again it was up to the judging panel to decide which of the pair's time on the show as up. Earlier, the panel had awarded Denise Welch 15 points out of a possible 30 while Johnson Beharry had scored 17.5 However because Denise was on the winning team in tonight's team challenge, her score was doubled to 30 points.
Host Phillip Schofield went to Emma first for her view, who voted to save Johnson, saying: "I was looking for the smoother performance and for me that was Johnson."
Next, Robin said: "Both of you improved during the skate off but for me there was one of you who had that extra little something and so I'm saving Johnson.”
With the result already decided, Jason added: "It's a clean sweep, I save Johnson!”
The judges' votes meant Denise Welch became the latest celebrity to be eliminated from the show with by three votes to none.
Speaking after her exit, Denise Welch said: "It's just honestly been... just thanks to Chris and Jane and thanks to all my supporters and the public who have kept me in to this stage of the competition. I never thought in a million year's I'd be here! I'm knackered but I've had a wonderful time and I'm on the tour so you haven't seen the last of me yet!"
