Sam and Brianne gave the performance of the night, says Jason Gardiner

Sam and Biranne

Dancing On Ice 2011 judge Jason Gardiner today revealed he felt Sam and Brianne's river dance performance was the best of the night, saying that the partnership was working again. Chatting to The Sun about the weekend's performances, Gardiner said that Laura blew him away while Denise "looked ridiculous".

"Bless her, but she looked ridiculous," Jason told the newspaper about the Loose Women star. "The samba was just painful for her - no sexuality and so behind the music."

Jason also had harsh words for Johnson Beharry, who was bottom of the judges' leader board with just 14.5 points. "The Argentine Tango should have an undertone of seething sensuality. He has the sensuality of a fish!" Gardiner told the tabloid.

It was clear who Jason's favourites were though, saying of Sam and Brianne: "The partnership's working again. They nailed the intricate Riverdance steps. The performance of the night."

The ever critical panellist also described Laura Hamilton's performance as "exceptional", adding: "The girl blows me away. She and Colin had the comic value you look for with the Charleston."
