Vanilla Ice was said to be teary backstage after being eliminated from Dancing On Ice last night in a shock result. The US rapper, who scored a respectable 21.5 points out of 30, left the competition against Laura Hamilton in yesterday's show in a decision all the judges described as the hardest so far.
Johnson Beharry and Loose Women presenter Denise Welch escaped the chop, despite coming bottom of the judges' leader board after scoring only 14.5 points apiece.
Previous Dancing On Ice winner Hayley Tamaddon told This Morning about all the backstage gossip following Ice's exit. "We've lost another big personality," she told hosts Phillip Schofield and Ruth Langsford. "I think he was gutted. At the end when I interviewed him, there were tears in his eyes."
Dancing On Ice host Phillip added: "He had such a brilliant time.
"You could see what a lovely guy he is, because I saw him in the bar the week before and he was talking to everyone and singing to everyone and then at the end he went over and gave his flowers to the little girl.
"So we'll miss him."
