Skater Frankie Poultney blasts biased judging panel after Comedy Dave's exit

Dave Vitty

Professional skater Frankie Poultney today hit out at the Dancing On Ice judging panel following the elimination of celeb partner Comedy Dave Vitty from the show. Last night viewers watched as Dave was eliminated from the skate off alongside Kerry Katona, despite the judges admitting he was the best skater.

Both Emma and Jason voted to save Kerry for giving the better performance, whilst Robin voted to save Dave because he was the best skater and pulled off the required moves more efficiently. Speaking on This Morning, Dave's professional partner Frankie Poultney said: "It is called Dancing On Ice, so I would like to see the judges judging them on their skating and performance equally. However, the judging panel is biased towards performance at the moment, but you know that when you come into the show."

Dave himself was a little less annoyed however, admitting: "All I wanted to do was not go out in the first week, I’ve had a brilliant time."

The Radio 1 star went on to say that he was pleased to be saved by former Olympic skater Robin Cousins, explaining: "The vote of confidence meant so much because obviously he is the only one on the panel who is a skater.

He added to host Holly Willoughby: "He gave me the best marks and week upon week has been constructive and supportive. The other two go on performance and it wasn't to be. It wasn't my night."
