Sam Attwater: I want to be the first to take on the 'headbanger' move

Sam Attwater

Dancing On Ice 2011 favourite Sam Attwater has revealed he aims to become the first male in Dancing On Ice history to take on the dangerous 'headbanger' move. The scary stunt sees the male skater swing his partner around by her legs - with her head finding itself just inches above the hard ice.

Whilst a number of female skaters have been on the receiving end of the move by their professional partners, none of the male celebrity skaters has yet carried out the move themselves. Sam said: "Being a bookies' favourite puts a massive pressure on and then you want to maintain the top of the leader board every week, but people are catching up."

He continued: "No celebrity boy has done the head banger before, so that's something I want to do. We've been practising it, so we're working on that at the moment so hopefully in the next few weeks it will be there."

Speaking ahead of Sunday's next performance show, the former Eastenders star added: "I want to do more new moves. We are experimenting with things and twisting it in our own way."
