Jennifer Metcalfe has become the latest celebrity to be eliminated from the 2011 series of Dancing On Ice, voted off by the judging panel against Vanilla Ice in the skate off. Jennifer Metcalfe and Vanilla Ice received the lowest combined public and judges votes after all the celebrities skated for a fourth time on this evening's performance show.
After the pair skated again it was up to the judging panel to decide which of the pair's time on the show as up. Earlier, the panel had awarded Vanilla Ice 16 points out of a possible 30 while Jennifer Metcalfe had scored 19.
Jason started off the vote, saying the judges were in a tough position with "two very confident skaters" in the skate off, however decided to save Vanilla Ice because he showed "more personality" in the performance.
Robin echoed Jason's thoughts on the bottom two, but saying "a decision had to be made" the former professional skater saved Vanilla Ice based on the skate off performance.
Although her vote wasn't going to change anything, Emma backed up her fellow judges and said she too would've saved Vanilla ice. As a result Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe was eliminated from the competitive 3 votes to none.
Speaking after her exit, a very tearful Jennifer Metcalfe said: "I can't really speak, I just wanted to get through for [Sylvain Longchambon] because he's put so much time into me."
Christopher Dean added: "Jen was really coming into her own, the togetherness her and Sylvain had was something special."
Dancing On Ice continues next Sunday with "a night at the theatre", complete with a performance from the cast of musical Wicked!
