Dominic Cork has become the latest celebrity to be eliminated from the 2011 series of Dancing On Ice, voted off by his fellow contestants against Jeff Brazier in the skate off. Dominic Cork and Jeff Brazier received the lowest combined public and judges votes after all the celebrities skated for a third time on this evening's performance show.
After the pair skated again it was up to the remaining safe celebrities to decide who left, in a cruel twist called 'The Ice Pick'. Earlier, the panel had awarded Dominic Cork 11 points out of a possible 30 while Jeff Brazier had scored 12.5
Chloe said she loved both of the bottom two contestants, but saved Jeff because she felt he would continue to impress. Next, Johnson saved Dominic saying he would make the most progress. Kerry then saved Jeff, saying he had been the most consistent and had been doing his best.
Vanilla flipped a coin to decide who he was going to save - with the result seeing another vote to save Jeff. Telly presenter Laura also saved Jeff, followed by Jennifer who said that Jeff had "lots of spark and was going to progress each week".
As a result of the votes up to this point, Dominic was out of the competition, however host Phillip Schofield continued and asked the remaining contestants who they would've voted for anyway.
Denise revealed she would've saved Dominic while Sam said he would've saved Jeff because he felt he had more to give. Saying he had made a lot of mates on the show, Comedy Dave said he would've saved Dominic.
In the end the result of the skate off was 6 save votes to Jeff compared to 3 for Dominic, meaning the cricketer was out of the competition.
Speaking after his exit, Dominic Cork said: "I've loved and there's one reason why I loved it and that's because of this lady here [Alexandra Schauman] and I hope there's another series next year because whoever gets her is one lucky man.
"I've loved every bit of it, even the judges, it's been a ball and I'll be watching every Sunday!"
Dancing On Ice continues next Sunday with a Las Vegas theme!
