Dancing On Ice claims another victim as Vanilla Ice suffers bloody head injury

Vanilla Ice

Dancing On Ice claimed yet another celebrity victim on Wednesday night as Vanilla suffered a nasty blow to his head whilst in training. The bloody injury, which required a number of hours of hospital treatment, is the latest in unfortunate accidents to plague this year's skating contestants.

Already this series Johnson Beharry has broken his finger, Laura Hamilton has required stitches to fix a deep cut to her thigh and Jennifer Metcalfe had a skate tear into her leg.

Vanilla Ice suffered his injury whilst training in London for this Sunday's show, slipping on the ice whilst practicing with professional partner Katie Stainsby. Talking about the incident, Vanilla Ice told The Sun: "Katie scraped me off the ice - I had no idea what happened at first. I was out for a few minutes. There was blood everywhere."

The US star added: "I feel like I got hit by a train."

According to the tabloid there's a chance Ice may miss Sunday's performance show due to the accident. A source explained: "Because his head was so bad, he didn't realise his ankle was injured at first.

"It's touch and go if he'll be OK for Sunday - and, even if he is, bosses are worried about the choreography. If a fall this bad happened on live TV it would be an absolute disaster."

Dancing On Ice continues this Sunday from 6:30PM - with a special twist!
