Dancing On Ice contestant Johnson Beharry 'breaks finger' in training

Johnson Beharry

Dancing On Ice 2011 celeb Johnson Beharry VC's future in the competition looks in doubt at the moment after the war hero managed to break a finger during training. The contestant, who sailed through Sunday's first skating show, has now been banned from making any 'dangerous moves' for a month.

The former soldier was changing his socks while practising with professional partner Jodeyne Higgins when one of his skates fell onto his finger, according to The Sun. After spending more than six hours in hospital treating the damage - which included the removal of his finger's nail - doctor's have banned him from performing any lifts with the hand.

The newspaper claims that show bosses are planning on 'banning' Beharry from Sunday's group dance, but the injury could also see him suffer in future shows.

A source told the tabloid: "Johnson has already overcome so much to be on the show, but this could be the end of him.

"However, he is determined that the show must go on. There's no way he'll let a broken finger get in his way."
