Former Eastenders actress Nadia Sawalha has confessed she is dreading exiting Dancing On Ice early on when the show returns to TV screens this weekend. In a first for the show, a whopping 16 contestants will start the competition but four of them will be booted out in just the first two weeks!
Nadia will be among the first group of skaters who will perform on Sunday's opening show, where two celebrities will be eliminated after just the one dance. "If I go I'll feel awful," the actress told The Mirror today. "It will mean I've been totally rejected by the public, that nobody likes me and that I'm a total failure. Oh God - how scary.
"I would love to stay in all the way, but if I manage to stay to at least week four, I won't feel like a total failure. I really want to stay in as long as I can and give it my best shot. I'm having such a great time and I don't want to leave the competition early."
Meanwhile talking about her gruelling training regime for the past two months, Nadia remarked: “It’s a b****y nightmare! It’s really terrifying. I could have trained for two whole months of my life and be gone after 50 seconds."
Dancing On Ice starts his Sunday with Kerry Katona, Vanilla Ice, Steven Arnold, Jeff Brazier, Laura Hamilton, Angela Rippon and Johnson Beharry all joining Nadia Sawalha on the ice from 6:30PM on ITV1.
