An average audience of over 6 million viewers watched the final ever episode of Dancing On Ice 2014.
The ITV series bowed out yesterday with a big send-off as Ray Quinn was crowned the last ever winner.
The X Factor singer triumphed in the all-stars final, beating Beth Tweddle and Hayley Tamaddon to be named champion of champions.
The two hour live show between 7PM and 9PM saw plenty of surprises with past contestants, a routine from the show's judges and the last ever Bolero from Torvill & Dean.
6.18 million viewers - including those who caught up on ITV+1 - watched the show which was up nearly a million on last week.
However it was well down on even the launch of this year's series and nowhere near the 10 million+ peaks the show was getting in its heyday.
ITV have insisted that despite rumours of a revival, the show is definitely being axed.
A spokesperson said: "Torvill and Dean are the most successful ice dancing partnership of our generation and brought huge integrity, skill and professionalism to the show and with their departure, it feels like the series has reached its natural end.”
They added: “It is always a difficult decision to say goodbye to successful and long running shows but with change comes opportunity and the chance for us to bring in new and exciting programmes for our viewers.”
