The X Factor star will be pulling out every trick in the the book in a bid to win the all star series.
Which is why Ray was spotted wrestling with a cumbersome surfboard during his practice with pro partner Maria Filippov. Joining Ray for his showcase routine this weekend will be pro skaters, Vicky Ogden, Sylvain Longchambon, Robin Johnstone and Andy Buchanan on his team.
Ray said today: “It’s live, we’re skating right on the edge, we’re not professionals, anything can happen.”
Ray will be facing Beth Tweddle and Hayley Tamaddon as the trio all go head-to-head in an effort to become the final ever DOI champion.
Hayley's hopefully show-stopping routine will see her fly again but without the safety of last week's cables.
“I go over three lads, it’s like I’m flying without the wires," she explained. “They throw me and I rotate in the air and land on one foot on the other side of them.
“Christopher Dean was like, ‘Do you want to try this? You’ll hurt your arms every day you have to practise?’ But I was like, ‘Yeah!’ It’s about showcasing your best bits’."
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Hayley added: “You can’t slow down — you’ve got to keep fighting to the end.”
Meanwhile, Beth and her partner Lukasz Rozycki were seen perfecting a number of tricky looking lifts. She’ll be joined by pro skaters Frankie Poultney, Matt Evers, Andrei Lipanov and Alexandra Schauman on her team.
