In last night's Dancing On Ice 2014 results, Sam and Ray Quinn landed in the bottom two with Sam finally going home after his fifth skate off.
Earlier in the evening Sam had landed bottom of the judges' scoreboard while Ray had struggled with a flying routine, leaving him off the top of the leaderboard for the first time ever.
The panel voted unanimously to save Ray in the skate off with the former X Factor star confessing he found the experience "nerve-wrecking".
"I have never been here before. Sam is a great skater and I couldn’t be up against anyone worse," Ray said.
Judge Jason Gardiner claimed that neither of the pair should've been in the bottom two, saying: "Neither of you should be here, I'm sorry but I do not agree with this decision.
"I do not want to send either of you home, you are both wonderful competitors and deserving champions."
Head judge Robin Cousins agreed and added: "You were both on fire tonight and should not be here."
Despite leaving, Sam kept his head up high and said: “I have done five skate-offs, it is my time to go. I feel like a winner, I have more than a trophy."
He added: "I want to say thank you to Jayne and Chris and to Brianne my old partner.”
