Dancing On Ice 2014 results: Hayley Tamaddon tops semi-final leaderboard

Hayley Tamaddon (Dancing On Ice 2014)

Hayley Tamaddon has topped the Dancing On Ice 2014 leaderboard in tonight's semi-final results.

This evening the final four celebrity contestants performed two routines each in a bid to reach the semi finals with one featuring an element of flight.

First out was Sam Attwater, bouncing back from a fourth appearance in the bottom two with a 36.5 points from the panel after a "spot on| routine to Robbie Williams hit Let Me Entertain You.

Hayley Tamaddon was next onto the ice with the first flying routine of the night and wowed the judges with a beautiful performance. Hayley scored a perfect 40 points from the panel for the skate despite rarely being on the ground.

After last week's illness Beth Tweddle was back on form this week and matched her series best of 36.5 after a fun routine with pro partner Lukasz Rozycki but Jason Gardiner was again unimpressed by her lack of personality on the ice.

Favourite Ray Quinn struggled with his flying routine and got an array of scores from the judges ranging from an 8.5 from Robin Cousins to a perfect 10 from Ashley Roberts. In all Ray skated away with a total of 37 after leaving Jason "cold" with the performance.

With her feet actually one the ice this time, Hayley didn't quite manage to match her perfect 40 from earlier in the evening but got close with 39 points, with 10s from both Ashley and Jason. The combined score from the two routines of 79 points out of 80 left Hayley top of the leaderboard for the first time this series.

Sam's flying routine to the aptly titled In The Air Tonight scored 36 points to leave himself and pro partner (and fiancee) Vicky Ogden with a combined total of 72.5 placing them bottom of the scoreboard.

Ray was stronger when he came back down to the ground for his second routine to get his fourth perfect score of 40 this series however it wasn't quite enough to put him on top of the leaderboard for the first time ever in his Dancing On Ice history.

Closing the show was Beth with her flying routine and the gymnast scored her best marks of the series so far with 37 out of 40 to leave her third on the leaderboard after both routines.

But now viewers have their say with the results of the public poll being added to the judges' scores to give the bottom two who will have to skate again.
