Beth Tweddle has revealed she almost had to quit Dancing On Ice 2014.
Last weekend we saw the Olympian struggle in training and with her performances, landing bottom of the leaderboard.
Two routines including a solo performance saw the reigning series champion score 65 points out of a possible 80 from the judges.
But viewers voted to save Beth and she avoided the skate off completely as Kyran Bracken left against Sam Attwater.
“It was a really tough week and to be honest I was just glad to stay on my feet and get through both routines,” Beth admitted this week.
The gymnast explained how she was close to being ruled out of the series due to her illness but thanked pro partner Lukasz Rozycki for helping her through.
“I only had a couple of hours training and there was times throughout the weekend where I wasn’t sure I was going to perform," she told the Chester Chronicle. “Lukasz was so patient with me throughout the week and always looked on the positive side which really helped."
Beth continued: “It hasn’t made me any more nervous at all.
“Each week I take on the challenge and love it. I am still really enjoying it and just want to continue to do so."
The latest episode of Dancing On Ice airs this Sunday night on ITV.
