The former series champ is widely tipped to win the series having pretty much dominated the competition from Day 1.
The weekend once again saw Ray scoop a perfect 40 points, his third of the the current series as he remains the only celebrity contestant to achieve the feat so far this year.
But despite all that, Ray reckons there's nothing more than luck to his success.
"I'm definitely blagging it," he said this week. "You’re living on the edge on the skates. There’s so much to think about, either happens or it doesn’t, that’s the thing."
Speaking on Daybreak, Ray went to insist he didn't pay attention to things like the bookies odds or his tag as the favourite to win.
Ray told the show's hosts Aled Jones and Lorraine Kelly: "I try not to think about it to be honest, the nerves are there anyway and you’re anxious about going out and doing something that’s out of your comfort zone anyway so there’s a lot to think about.
"It sounds stupid but I live like a dog, I live in the moment so I live in what is happening now and what I need to do now and then once it’s done it’s in the pocket.
