Dancing On Ice 2014 judge Jason Gardiner has admitted he's "delighted" Sam Attwater remains in the competition.
Sam survived his FOURTH skate off on Sunday night against Kyran Bracken as the rugby hunk left in the latest Dancing On Ice 2014 results.
It followed two routines from the final five celebs including a completely solo performance without their pro partner by their side.
Writing in his weekly DOI blog, Jason said: "Kyran's solo was as to be expected. He was solid in his skating but his presentation wasn't finessed.
"Ultimately he left the competition because of it. He has always been a great competitor and champ but for my money he hasn't got what it takes to be the Champion of Champions."
The often critical ice panelist continued: "Sam's solo was sultry intense and a better overall performance than when he skates with Vicky.
"He is really coming into his own now and I'm delighted that he is still with us. He proves that he has such fighting spirit to always bounce back from continually being in the skate offs."
However despite Jason's praise and Sam's high scores, the former soap star has struggled to get the viewers on his side.
Jason said: "It is obvious that the public just aren't backing this horse which poses the question: If you're not getting the votes should you still be a contender for the final?
"Next week will be crucial for Sam if he is in the Skate Off against three very impressive celebs who clearly do have the public's support. Next week he must come out with something so incredible to get the public vote."
Dancing On Ice continues this Sunday night on ITV with the remaining celebs performing two routines each, one of which will include an element of flight.
