Dancing On Ice 2014 ratings crushed by Call The Midwife

There's just no good news when it comes to the Dancing On Ice 2014 ratings.

This year' final series launched to its lowest ever numbers at the start of the month and fell to a new low last weekend.

Last night the show fared even worse as it went up against the return of Call The Midwife on BBC One with the Beeb drama scoring a huge 9.6 million viewers.

An average audience of just 5.5 million watched the latest routines as all ten remaining skaters performed together for the first time.

Despite all star line up, the figures are down 300,000 on the previous weekend and millions of viewers down on the show's heydays.

Including those you caught up on ITV+1, 5.8 million watched the third lie show of this year's run.

In the Dancing On Ice 2014 results last night another celebrity was eliminated with just 4.2 million watching, a decline of almost 1.5 million on the performance show, although a further 500,000 did catchup an hour later on ITV+1.

In the 9PM hour and BBC beat ITV as the two channels went head to head with dramas. The new series of Mr Selfridge achieved a respectable 4.8 million viewers for ITV but The Musketeers had a huge 7.4 million on the other side.

Meanwhile, the latest Celebrity Big Brother highlights held their ground perhaps surprisingly well with 2.3 million tuning in.
