Dancing On Ice 2014: Jason Gardiner blasts "one trick mule" Todd Carty

Dancing On Ice 2014 judge Jason Gardiner has hit out at Todd Carty, branding him a "one trick mule".

Eastenders star Todd is one of fourteen returning contestants to this year's final show, an all star series.

Four skaters have already left the ice but Todd remains, despite coming bottom of the leaderboard at the weekend.

Jason told Todd after his routine with pro partner Alexandra Schauman on Sunday night: "I guess the only thing you have up your sleeve is that you haven't improved at all. Your partner was dragging you around. Why are you here?"

But Todd quipped back: "I can't be any worse than last time".

In the results and Todd avoided the bottom three, with David Seaman and Gary Lucy leaving while Sam Attwater was saved by the judges.

Writing on his Facebook page this week after the live show, Jason complained: "I get why the public vote to keep him in but the reality is as of next week the risk of truly deserving contestants being eliminated is very real.

He added: "We've seen all this before with Todd, he's just a one trick mule! That said, I don't really care who goes out just as long as we are left with the best of the best for the final."

Dancing On Ice 2014 continues next Sunday night on January 19 on ITV.
