Dancing On Ice 2014 results: David Seaman's exit blamed on 'curse'

David Seaman (Dancing On Ice 2014)

David Seaman was destined to leave Dancing On Ice 2014 at the weekend, his pro partner Frankie Poultney has claimed.

In Sunday night's Dancing On Ice 2014 results, footballing star David and The Bill's Gary Lucy both bowed out of the show in the second double eviction in as many weeks.

David's skating partner Frankie Poultney reckons the pair were cursed because they're a real couple, in the bottom three with Sam Attwater who also skated with his real life partner.

"The relationships that have been highlighted, the public haven’t warmed to them so much," Frankie said this week. “The proof has been in the skate-offs.

“People are more interested in the skating – and that’s what David and I were interested in. We have skated quite a bit and we love it, that’s why we do it.”

Of course David's performance at the weekend was also impacted by a slip up on the ice.

“It’s just annoying that I did that [slipped], I had a total block. I went straight from the mistake into a headbanger, which was scary," David recalled yesterday.

Speaking on This Morning, the former England goalkeeper went on to back X Factor star Ray Quinn to win the series later this year.

Meanwhile, Gary Lucy seemed upbeat ob Twitter following his early exit from the All Star show.

He tweeted: “It’s all good ppl thank you for your kind words xx love ya xxxx”

The soap star added: “My mate and the legend that is @thedavidseaman top fella and my gooner pal !! C u in the morning :-)”

Dancing On Ice 2014 continues next Sunday night on January 19 on ITV.
