Dancing On Ice 2014: Gary Lucy "petrified" of falling live on air!

Gary Lucy (Dancing On Ice 2014)

Dancing On Ice 2014 continues tonight on ITV and Gary Lucy has admitted he's terrified of falling over live on telly.

The Bill star originally finished as runner up in Series 5 but is back on the ice as part of this year's final all star series.

Speaking to The Sun, Gary confessed to being even more nervous this time around ahead of his first skate tonight.

"I’m just petrified, my legs just turn to jelly," he told the tabloid. “Even sat on the side in the studio watching on Sunday, I couldn’t feel my feet.

“All I can do is keep practising and hope I don’t fall over in front of millions of people.”

The 32-year-old also claimed that age was against him, having not skated in the four years since he was last on the show.

He added to the newspaper: “I feel like a young man in an old man’s body now.

“I never had any injuries last time but I pulled my hamstring before Christmas which was painful and I’ve got aches and pains everywhere. There is a lot of wear and tear when you skate and it’s so intense every day.

“Some days I’m putting in six hours on the ice.”

Joining Gary on the Dancing On Ice this Sunday will be Hear’Say singer Suzanne Shaw, soap actress Zaraah Abrahams, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle, footballer David Seaman and Eastenders’ stars Todd Carty and Sam Attwatter.
