Ray Quinn and Kyran Bracken were joint leaders of the scoreboard in tonight's first Dancing On Ice 2014 live show.
Fourteen contestants from the past eight series have returned to the show, although only seven were skating tonight.
The first line up of celebs taking to the ice was Emmerdale’s Hayley Tamaddon, Pop Idol’s Gareth Gates, X Factor’s Ray Quinn, comic Joe Pasquale, actress Bonnie Langford, Hollyoaks beauty Jorgie Porter and rugby hunk Kyran Bracken.
Hayley and her pro partner Daniel Whiston started things off with a "bang" and a score of 25.5 after skating to Call Me Maybe.
Gareth Gates and Brianne Delcourt were next onto the ice, scoring 22 points with the judges criticisng the singer's posture.
First series star Bonnie Langford and her partner Andrei Lipano proved Too Darn Hot for the ice with 27.5 points from the panel for an "amazing" performance.
Ray Quinn and Maria Filippov followed and bettered Bonnie's score with 29.5 points for their routine to One Direction's hit Best Song Ever.
Almost matching Ray's marks were Jorgie Porter and Sylvain Longchambon, were it not for Jason Gardiner who claimed that the soap star let the choreography get away from her.
Joe Pasquale descended onto the rink to start his routine with Robin Johnstone and the gimmick certainly impressed Jason, who gave the comic 7 points for a total of 23.5.
Closing the show, Kyran Bracken and Nina Ulanova matched Ray's high score with a variety of individual marks from the judges ranging from a 6.5 to an 8.
It means that Kyran and Ray were left top of the scorebaord while Joe was bottom.
But tonight the judges' scores won't impact anything.
Instead, the public votes alone will decide a bottom three, of which two will go home: The contestant with the fewest votes will be eliminated, while the next two will have to compete in the skate with the judges deciding which one to save.
Tonight's Dancing On Ice results air tonight from 8:30PM on ITV.
