The Dancing On Ice 2014 line up are feeling the pressure ahead of the first live show.
Fourteen stars from the past eight series will reunite on this year’s final run, as they compete to be crowned the champion of champions.
But bosses are piling the pressure onto the celebs, demanding bigger routines and more daring stunts.
"The contestants are under no illusions that bosses want to see fireworks on the ice," a source told The Sun newspaper. “Producers are determined that the show will go out with a bang and that has been heavily impressed upon the celebrities from the start.
“They are expected to wow the audience from the minute they step on the ice to the minute they step off, and the pressure is getting to some people.”
Even the pro skaters are wanting to finish the show with some of the best skating seen on the show over the past nine years.
“For many of the pro skaters, Dancing On Ice has been a key part of their lives for years. This is their last hurrah and they want to make the most of it," the source continued. "They are choreographing tougher routines than ever and adding in tricks and lifts that have never been attempted on the show.
“Several of these are very dangerous, but if the stars do manage to pull them off, we could see some really incredible performances.”
Other former champs taking on the competition again are soap star Hayley Tamaddon, actor Sam Attwater and Hear’Say singer Suzanne Shaw. They’ll all be competing against the reigning winner, gymnast Beth Tweddle, who topped the public vote back in March.
Dancing On ice airs from Sunday night on ITV.
