The former X Factor star is one of fourteen returning contestants set to take to the rink for the second time.
And while some of his rivals have insisted they don't care about winning, Ray is very much in it for the competition.
He said: "I really do hope I can win. Everything I have learnt I am going to put into it. Everyone wants to win. I have been competing all my life and this is another competition for me. I am going to give it my all!"
"This time, I do want to attack a bit more. I want to be more daring and I really want to soak everything up. I want to get my edges and steps right. I want to look smooth on the ice and every hour I can get in between being a dad, husband and everything else, I am putting into skating."
Ray Quinn will be reunited with his original series 4 pro skater Maria Filippov on the show, five years after the pair took away the trophy back in 2009.
Ray, who topped the scoreboard every week of his series, continued: "I was buzzing and so happy when I got the call inviting me back. I had said to my wife ages ago that I would love to go on it again and so now I am, it's as if I had read my own fortune!
"I am going into the show as a different person. I am a dad now and so I am coming at it from a different perspective. I know he is only 15 months old but it will be nice to see his face when I am skating. I am trying to start creating a role model for him."
