The final of Dancing On Ice 2013 was the least watched ever, according to overnight ratings.
Olympian Beth Tweddle triumphed over Matt Lapinskas in the Dancing On Ice 2013 results final results, which were held over a single, two hour show last night.
An average audience of 6.7 million viewers watched the live show, increasing to 6.9 million with those who caught up an hour later on ITV+1.
The show peaked with 7.5 million viewers as the final result was announced towards 9PM.
This year's series has easily been the lowest rated ever, attracting less than half the 13 million audience at the show's peak.
But despite that, bosses are going to give the series another go, with a spokesperson for ITV confirming today: “There are plans for Dancing On Ice to return in 2014.”
It was a day of series finales yesterday as both the BBC and ITV concluded their Winter line ups ahead of Spring.
Call The Midwife, which went up against Dancing On Ice, was the highest rated show of the day with 8.6 million, while Top Gear had 5.5 million and Mr Selfridge secured 5.8 million for its final instalment.
