Dancing On Ice 2013 final: Luke Campbell fears Jason Gardiner has hurt his chances

Dancing on ice 2013 star Luke Campbell reckons that Jason Gardiner's harsh words will harm him in tonight's final.

Dancing On Ice judge Jason yesterday hit out at Luke Campbell ahead of the final this evening.

Ever critical Jason hasn't made a secret over the past ten weeks that he's not a huge fan of boxer Luke, and the ice judge's harsh comments haven't stopped despite the Olympian making it all the way to the end.

Speaking to The Sun, Jason complained about Luke making the final over Gareth Thomas, who had to withdraw last weekend after falling ill.

Jason, who returned to the judging panel this year after being axed for 2012, is amazed Luke has made it to Sunday’s final of the ITV show.

He said: “Luke is in by default. Do I think technically he deserves to be there? No I don’t. But he is very popular with young girls and they vote.”

Now Luke feels that the comments could hurt his chances.

He told the Daily Mirror: "There is the possibility that Jason could lose the competition for me if people listen to his comments.

“I’ve never really listened to him throughout the series so I’m not going to start for the final.

"I’m going for gold and skating to win but there’s nothing I can do if people want to listen to him."

Luke added: "Jason doesn’t make sense and half the time he’s not even watching it and doesn’t know what’s going on.

"When he gives me my comments he’s probably commenting on the person before me.

“He’s made some nasty comments and sometimes he does take it too far – like when he compared Lauren Goodger to a walrus.

"If he said that to my mum or sister then I’d be mad.

“His comments about me having an attitude problem upset me because I’ve worked my whole life to be respectful.

"If you have got attitude you can’t go and win Olympic gold.”
