Dancing on ice 2013 finalist Luke Campbell has said that Gareth Thomas should still be in the competition
Gareth was forced to withdraw from the show last weekend, having fallen ill during the live semi finals.
Boxer Luke has suggested that the shows producers should have allowed the rugby star to continue in the competition.
Speaking to The Sun this weekend, Luke said: "They should have put us all in the final, because it's unfair really because of the flight factor. It's a part of the show obviously, but it wasn't the element of actually skating."
He added: "So I reckon they should have brought four of us into the final and let the voting fire away. You always want to feel like you've really earned that position. From not knowing what went on, yeah you're through, but you still want to feel like, 'Yes, I got it'."
It comes after Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner claimed Luke didn't deserve to be in the final.
Jason complained: “Luke is in by default. Do I think technically he deserves to be there? No I don’t. But he is very popular with young girls and they vote.”
Instead, Jason thinks Gareth should be competing in this evening's last live show alongside Beth Tweddle and Matt Lapinskas.
Praising sportsman Gareth, Jason went on: “The transformation of Gareth from rugby brute to ice dancer has been quite remarkable. I wanted Matt, Beth and Gareth in the final. That would have been so brilliant.
“Each possesses a quality the other doesn’t. It would have then been down to who people liked the most because each of them could have taken the crown.
“Gareth would absolutely have gone through last week if it was down to the public vote.”
