Gareth Thomas has spoken about his time on Dancing On Ice 2013, saying he's pleased to have made it as far as the semi-finals.
Sunday evening saw Gareth bow out in the latest Dancing On Ice 2013 results show.
But it wasn't a normal exit, with Gareth being forced to withdraw due to illness, having been unable to complete his second skate of perform in the skate off when he was voted into the bottom two.
Despite the unfortunate exit, Gareth admitted he was pleased to have made it to the penultimate live show.
"It's surreal. It's like repayment for all the hard work we put in," he said. "I think my connection with Robin, my skating partner, [was the secret to my success].
"I'd never wanted to let her down.
"Also the fact I'm a sportsman and a competitive person. Plus I wanted to have a good laugh while I'm doing it."
Gareth got a bit of a rough ride from the judges at times, but added there was no ill feeling with anyone on the panel, including Jason!
He explained: "Jason's a nice guy. He gives criticism, not for the sake of giving criticism - he has to say hat he sees.
"It's because they've seen something that they think you could improve on. If you can't take criticism you shouldn't be in the show like this anyway."
