Gareth Thomas won't be flying on Dancing On Ice 2013 tonight, after medics ordered him to keep his feet firming on the ground.
Matt Lapinskas, Beth Tweddle, Luke Campbell and Gareth will all be fighting it out this evening for a spot in next week's finale.
And tonight's special show was meant to see the final four flying during their routines, as if they needed any more pressure.
But Gareth, who has been struggling all week with the routine, has been told to stay on solid ground.
He tweeted his followers this evening: "The medics have pulled me out of flying for safety reasons.I'm gutted but can't take the risk.Hope I can impress with another skate instead."
DOI coach and judge Karen Barber confessed earlier this week it wasn't going to plan with Gareth in training.
Karen admitted: “It’s motion sickness and Gareth was very sick. He is such a big guy, it’s a struggle to get him into the harness in the first place, let alone to have his partner, who is a slight little thing, try to manipulate him. It’s like prop week again, it’s like the harness is the prop…. Gareth is struggling.”
"Gareth’s routine really pushes him next week," a source claimed earlier in the week. “He’s been finding it tough and at one point he went so green his partner Robin had to rush off and get a big black bin on the ice for him to hurl into.
"It’s tough because ice skating takes a lot of energy, but he’s struggling to keep his food down.”
Dancing On Ice 2013 airs tonight on ITV.
