Dancing On Ice 2013 star Matt Lapinskas is still feeling down from being in the bottom two earlier this month.
The once favourite had to skate off against close pal Shayne Ward in a shock results show two weeks ago.
Matt confessed that the result knocked his confidence, and DOI coach Christopher Dean admitted it was still needing to be rebuilt.
He said: "Everybody was shocked to see Matt in the skate off: he was second on the leaderboard, he got great marks, he got great comments.
He added: "He's still a bit shell-shocked and down from it."
Matt's pro partner Brianne Delcourt has also trying get Matt's confidence back after the knock back, saying: "Matthew has come in today a different person, not the Matthew we all know. He's just lost his confidence. He's such a super-sensitive kid."
Speaking after the result last week, Matt confessed: "It's knocked my confidence big time. I don't feel like the same skater anymore at all.
"I never want to feel what I did on Sunday ever again. It was hard. I've got to come back stronger, but every time I go to do something, [the stumble] is already in the back of my mind.
"It's hard because people on Twitter and people in the papers are saying, 'You don't deserve to be here'. It's a wake-up call for me, really - when you realise you're never safe in this competition."
