Dancing On Ice 2013 judge Jason Gardiner has hit out at claims suggesting that the show is fixed.
Viewers hit out at the panel at the weekend after they saved Matt Lapinskas over Shayne Ward in the skate off, despite Matt falling in the routine.
Many claimed it was unfair, after the judges had sent home Pamela Anderson in the first week for stumbling in her skate off routine.
Even though Jason did save Shayne, he didn't think that the show was fixed.
He said today: "I can hand on heart guarantee that the judges on DOI are in no way influenced by our producers or ITV in who we choose to save.
"If that were the case I certainly wouldn't have been asked back because as you all know, I always speak my mind."
Speaking about Sunday night's surprise result, Jason said: "Shayne did brilliantly during both routines and I truly believe he was coming into his own.
“Yes Matt is the better skater and performer, I certainly didn't want to see him go, but surely the Save Me Skate should be solely based on that performance and what makes it so unpredictable is that it's brutal."
Instead of blaming the judges, Jason reckons viewers only have themselves to blame.
He added: “Let me reiterate, we don't decide the bottom two, that is down to viewer votes. As last night proves no one is safe so if you don't want to lose your favourite then make sure you vote."
Dancing On Ice 2013 continues on Sunday night on ITV.
