Dancing On Ice 2013 ratings: Viewing figures fall again to lowest ever

Even a new twist couldn't stop the ever declining ratings for Dancing On Ice 2013

The show returned last month to its lowest launch night figures ever, and has yet to improve.

For the third week in a row the ITV series was below 7 million viewers, and shed almost a further 200,000 week-on-week.

Last night saw the eight remaining skaters take on the Leveller, requiring them to skate solo for at least 30 seconds of their routine.

However the twist interested 6.73 million viewers between 6:15PM and 7:45PM, down on last Sunday's 6.9 million figure.

It was the joint lowest ever ratings for the show in its eight year history, despite plenty of effort to try and win viewers back with the format changes and a revamped line up of judges.

However a shock result in The Skate Off helped boost the numbers for the second show.

The showdown between favourites Shayne Ward and Matt Lapinskas averaged 5.39m, up over 200,000 viewers on last week's somewhat more predictable result.

Elsewhere and the Got To Dance 2013 semi-finalists were revealed on Sky1, attracting around 800,000 viewers.
