Dancing On Ice 2013 results: Matt Lapinskas falls but is kept in by judges

Matt Lapinskas (Dancing On Ice 2013)

Matt Lapinskas took a stumble in tonight's Dancing On Ice 2013 results, as Shayne Ward left the show.

Tonight saw Shayne bow out in the latest Dancing On Ice 2013 results show.

The X Factor singer was in the bottom two for the first time after his latest skate, having to perform against Matt in the skate off.

It was a shock bottom two result that left the judges almost speechless after both boys wowed earlier in the night.

And things went from bad to worse for Matt after he took a tumble during his save me skate.

The Eastender was in tears over the mistake, but his pro partner Brianne Delcourt told him: "Do not give up. You fell but you got back up and straight into a lift."

Coaches Torvill and Dean were both clearly surprised by the bottom two result too, and the Matt's first mistake of the series so far.

But Christopher Dean defended him: "He did recover very well."

Karen Barber, Robin Cousins and Ashley Roberts all saved Matt in the skate off, with Karen saying: "Mistakes happened but then they were managed."

Karen also hit out at the result of the public vote, snapping: "It's a skate off that shouldn't have happened."

Next weekend’s sixth live show will see the remaining seven skaters – Matt, Luke Campbell, Joe Pasquale, Garteh Thomas, Beth Tweddle, Samia Ghadie and Keith Chegwin – skate for the fourth time in a 'Love' special.
