The Dancing On Ice 2013 live tour has been axed, it's been revealed today.
Bosses blamed the axe on the recession, although have claimed it will be back next year.
The live arena show, which took place at venues across the UK and Ireland, saw the celebs and pros performing to crowds of thousands.
Not only did it provide an extra incentive for the celebs to do well in the competition in order to make the line up, it also boost the pay of the pro skaters.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "This is a real blow to the celebrities.
“The competition is stressful so it’s the tour they look forward to, where they aren’t facing the pressure of getting through to the next week.
“Also, they get paid a lot of money to go on tour which they’re all missing out on.”
A source added: "It was thought that with the recession, the tour wouldn’t be a great idea. But, actually, fans are really missing it.”
Meanwhile, DOI contestant Shayne added: “It’s a shame about the tour. But it would be great to do something to celebrate the series, even if it’s one show.”
