Tonight's duel twist saw the ten remaining skaters -Anthea Turner , Oona King, Luke Campbell, Joe Pasquale, Gareth Thomas, Beth Tweddle, Samia Ghadie, Matt Lapkinskas, Shayne Ward, and Keith Chegwin - go head to head on the ice.
The two couples in each pairing danced on the ice together and to the same music but the routines were both different.
The judges then gave both couples critiques (and in the case of Jason, some insults) and then instead of scores, the panel had to agree on which person to make immune. If there were any clashes then head judge Robin Cousins got deciding vote.
The pairings were made based on the position of the celebs on the leaderboard after their first skate.
The Dancing On Ice 2013 duel results left Gareth, Luke, Oona, Shayne and Joe are at risk, with the public alone deciding who stays in the results show later tonight.
With the lowest public scores, Gareth and Oona were in the bottom two and had to perform their 'Save Me Skate'.
This was a completely new and original routine choreographed and arranged by the celebs themselves.
After both Gareth and Oona had performed it was over to the judges to decide which of the pair should continue in the competition.
Karen Barber saved Gareth.
Ashley said: "I'm proud of both of you and it was amazing performances from both," before saving Oona.
Jason backed the "stronger skater and performer," saving Gareth.
As the head judge, Robin had the casting vote, and saved Gareth, leaving Oona to go home.
Next weekend's fourth live show will see the remaining ten skaters - Luke Campbell, Joe Pasquale, Gareh Thomas, Beth Tweddle, Samia Ghadie, Matt Lapkinskas, Shayne Ward, Anthea Turner and Keith Chegwin - skate for the third time.
