Karen Barber reckons Dancing On Ice 2013 will be the best series yet, despite launching to poor ratings.
The first live show at the weekend averaged less than 8 million viewers, making it the least watched Dancing On Ice launch show ever.
But head coach Karen, who returns to the judging panel this year, has high hope for the future shows.
She told the Daily Mirror today: "I'm excited about the show. I think it's going to be the best series yet. The contestants have been great - Gareth Thomas is fantastic, he's so strong. And Anthea Turner is so elegant.
"Even in the first couple of weeks we've had some of the most difficult lifts we've ever seen this early in the series."
Karen is on the ice panel this year alongside Ashley Roberts, Robin Cousins and Jason Gardiner and is hoping for an exciting series.
"We have an absolute wonderful group of celebrity skaters this year who have been training so hard to ensure they deliver on the ice for the viewers and of course us judges," she said.
Karen added: "I’m thrilled to be on the judging panel for 2013 and I look forward to an exciting and interesting series.”
