Dancing On Ice bosses spent £1,000 a second on Pamela Anderson, after she was eliminated on Sunday night.
The Baywatch star had a £150,000 deal to appear on the show, the biggest fee of all the celebs.
But she left in a shock exit on Sunday's first results show after a costume mishap in the skate off against comic Keith Chegwin.
It led to the judges - Robin Cousins, Jason Gardiner, Ashley Roberts and Karen Barber - all voting her out of the show.
A source told the Daily Mirror today: “Pammy is the biggest star we have had in years and we hoped she would pull in millions of viewers for weeks and weeks.
“Her skating partner Matt Evers flew to America for weeks of training.
"We had to book first class flights for her and source plush accommodation for months too in case she got to the final stages.
“All in all we’ve spent about £150,000 on Pammy and she has lasted one week. It’s a disaster.”
Another insider told The Sun: “They were banking on Pamela staying until at least mid-way in the series. They’re not best pleased at losing their biggest star.”
To make matters worse, Sunday's launch show was the least watched ever, despite the return of Jason to the panel.
There's sure to be crisis talks at ITV this week...
